I was presented this evening with an opportunity to provide feedback related to our recent experience employing the services of the O’Riley Funeral Home. Filling out a form cannot possibly do justice to the kind of service the people at that establishment provided. Bear with me as I attempt to sum up an experience as beyond my wildest expectations in all regards. I had made no preparations at all even though it was obvious that my wife was dangerously ill. My first thought on being called by the nursing home to tell me of her passage during the night was to contact O’Riley because of the kind of service provided some years ago for my mother’s and father’s funerals. Chris Branson and his staff went far beyond what I anticipated to take care of literally every detail throughout the period from transporting my wife from the nursing home to the interment and afterward in the most efficient way possible. Chris Branson advised and took time to answer all our question and to offer alternatives when my son and I had difficult decisions to make. The staff made all the arrangements with the church and cemetery and was present but not intrusive during the visitation hours so that I could get help if I needed it. I could go on page after page detailing all the things they did but to say more than “thank you” for the opportunity to make public the depth and breadth of my feeling of being deeply in debt to the O’Riley people for all they’ve done would merely detract from this simple heartfelt thank you.
