Christa Marie Durrett

Christa Marie Salamone Durrett, 53, Fairland, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016. She was born in Indianapolis on October 18, 1963 to Frank and Dolores Juday Salamone. Christa was a 1982 graduate of Emmerich Manual High School and earned her nursing degree from the University of Indianapolis. She worked as a nurse at Methodist Hospital for 30 years. Christa was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband, Carl "Buzz" Durrett; sons, Vincent and Mason Durrett; sister, Sheri Salamone; brother, Steve Salamone; aunt, Barbara Stillabower; and many nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters in law. Visitation will be Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Mark Catholic Church.
