Don R. Jackson

Don R. Jackson, 92, of Beech Grove, passed away on August 18, 2016. Don grew up in Lafayette, IN and attended Lafayette Jefferson High School. Halfway through his senior year he joined the United States Marine Corps to serve his country. He was a WWII Veteran 2nd Marine Division and served in the Pacific Theatre of Operations. Don worked in the printing industry and enjoyed woodworking, traveling across the United States especially to Florida or out West, and spending time with his family. He was loved by his family and will be greatly missed. Don is survived by his loving wife of 37 years , Jan; children, Dan Jackson (Pat), Patti Kroetz (Greg), Vickie VanArsdale (Ed), Ken Kalal (Kristy), David Jackson (Chris), Amey Kalal; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VA or to any animal rescue organization.
