Rebecca Jean Witt

May 7, 1961 — March 31, 2022

Rebecca (Becky) Jean Witt, passed away on March 31, 2022, after a gallant 20-month battle with lung cancer. She peacefully entered heaven early in the morning during heavy winds and a power outage with beloved family and friends holding a beautiful candlelit prayer vigil. She was born May 7, 1961, in Beech Grove to the late Russell E. and Helen G. (Sevenish) Fischer. On February 13, 1982, Becky wed Kevin Witt in St. Catherine Catholic Church; Kevin survives.

Becky's passions were spending time with her family, bowling, decorating, cooking, shopping, and entertaining friends and family. If there was a concert to go to Becky always had her most delicious sandwiches ready to go. Spending time with childhood friends and always looking forward to their Florida girl's trips in May, specifically Fort Myers beach was important to Becky. Kevin and Becky relished spending time at their condo with family and friends in Indian Rocks Beach in Florida making memories.

Becky and her husband, Kevin were successful business owners of Witt Pest Control. Oftentimes, people would ask if she was the bug lady to which she would respond, "No, I'm a ladybug!"

Becky's greatest joy in life was taking care of her babies, including her two grandchildren, Oliver and Levi Kidwell, nieces and nephews, and many children from the Southside. She truly had a "Master's Degree" in childcare, which showed through the love that was given back by all that knew her. Becky's loving, soft-spoken, and loyal spirit will be greatly missed by all of those lucky enough to know her.

Along with both parents, Becky was preceded in death by sisters; Janet Childers, Roseann Huddleston, and a brother; Wayne
Fischer.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Kevin Witt; her children, Chelsea H. (Zac) Kidwell and Logan R. (Amy) Witt; sisters, Susan (Tony) Agresta and Annette O'Neil, brother Stephen (Mary Jane) Fischer; a host of nieces, nephews, lifelong friends, and extended family members.
