Richard M. Tex

Richard M. Tex, 82, Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016. He was born in Beech Grove, IN on September 24, 1933 to Marion C. and Bernice R. Walle Tex. Dick retired from the Indianapolis Fire Department as a Lieutenant in 1984 after 25 years of service. He also worked for Jenn-Air for 35 years retiring in 1990. He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 3660, Kevin Barry Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 4167, International Association of Firefighters, Indianapolis Professional Firefighters Local 416, and the Indianapolis Retired Firefighters Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Sheehan Tex; his parents; brothers, Jerry David, Kenny, Raymond, Vincent, and Larry. Dick is survived by his son, Kevin Tex; sister, Mary Tex; and his brothers, Michael, Thomas, and Ronald Tex. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 10 a.m. in St. Mark Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Daniel F.
