Ricky L. Steagall

Ricky L. Steagall, 56 of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019 at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis. Rick was born in Beech Grove on October 15, 1962 to Benjamin F. Steagall, II and Sandra D. (Ward) Kurtz; his mother preceded him in death.

Rick graduated high school from the Indianapolis Baptist Temple and worked as a truck driver in waste management and at Indianapolis Fruit Company. As an avid race fan, he enjoyed spending time at the Indianapolis Speedrome. Rick loved a good scare and worked many seasons at Hanna Haunted Acres. He also enjoyed roller skating. A loving, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, Rick’s memory will be forever cherished by his family and a host of friends.

Along with his father, other survivors include his children, Andrew M. (Shannon) Steagall of Indianapolis, Amanda J. Steagall of Indianapolis, Ashley M. Steagall of Indianapolis, and Crystal Clark of Indianapolis; his two brothers, Benjamin Steagall of Greenwood, and Michael (Ruth) Thomason of Sonora, California; and six grandsons, Mason, Parker, Brayden, Carson, Hudson, and Haiden.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Rick L. Steagall from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019 in the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis. The funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
