Michael Dean Watson

Michael Dean Watson, 58, Martinsville, passed away February 7, 2021. Mike was born February 14, 1962, in Indianapolis, to the late Ronald Dean Watson and Marjorie (Shipley) Watson, who survives.

He graduated from Lawrence Central High School in 1981 and married Christina Carter on July 13, 1985. Mike worked for 17 years at Design & Build before starting his own business, C & M Construction. He was a general contractor and a very talented designer and builder. Mike truly had a gift as a visionary and took incredible pride in seeing his projects through to completion. He was defined by his hard work ethic, but created a balance by also being the life of the party. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church and enjoyed volunteering with their food pantry, the Impact Center. He always looked forward to summer months when many happy memories were created boating on Lake Monroe. He loved the social part of being at the lake too – Mike loved God and loved people. Above all, Mike was a wonderful provider and protector for his family. He will be fondly remembered by his loved ones and many friends for his great ability to make people feel valued and important.

Survivors include his wife and best friend, Chris; children, Greg (Kristen) and Jenna; mother, Marjorie; brothers, Gary (Sharlene) and Randy (Leslie); and many good friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 11, 2021, 4 to 7 p.m., at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church, 381 N. Bluff Road, Greenwood. The funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. Burial will be Friday, February 12, 2021, in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. A procession will begin from O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S.
