Cecilia E. Schultz

Cecilia E. Schultz, 73, Indianapolis, passed away August 16, 2021. Cecilia was born November 5, 1947, in Batesville, Indiana, to the late Louis and Florence Effinger.

She was employed as a dispatcher for the Franklin County Sheriff's Department for several years, prior to moving to Indianapolis. She was a longtime and devoted member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Cecilia was known for her selflessness and was always interested in helping others. She volunteered tirelessly at the church's food pantry and also at Mission 27 Resale, a division of St. Vincent de Paul Society. She loved flowers and working in her flower beds too. Cecilia's memory will be forever cherished by her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Matthew; former husband, LeeRoy Schultz; sister, Alice Luers.

Survivors include three sons, Mike (Debbie) Schultz, Mark (Amanda) Schultz, and Marty Schultz; brother, Frannie (Lou) Effinger; sisters, Helen Prickle and Jeanne Seevers; grandchildren, Hailee Schultz, Max Schultz, Luke Schultz; Brittany Williams and Evan Persons (Schultz); great grandchild, Temperance Freese.

Visitation will be Friday, August 20, 2021, 5 to 8 p.m., at the O'Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 21, 2021, in St. Jude Catholic Church.
