Charles R. "Ron" Breeden

June 19, 1941 — July 28, 2021

Charles R. “Ron” Breeden, 80, lifelong Indianapolis resident, passed away July 28, 2021. Mr. Breeden was born June 19, 1941, to the late George and Margaret L. (O’Donnell) Breeden.

He graduated from Southport High School and proudly served in the United States Army. Ron also served in the Indiana National Guard and was a member of the American Legion, where he enjoyed many friendships. He retired in 1996 from Indianapolis Power & Light as a manager of customer relations. Ron enjoyed staying busy with his rental property after retirement. He also liked games of chance – always looking for the big windfall. He will be fondly remembered by his loving family and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Crowe) Breeden; brother, James Breeden; niece, Elyse Breeden; nephew, Brad Breeden.

Survivors include his daughters, Angela “Angie” Alejos, Melinda “Mindy” Burns, and Melissa “Missy” (Jon) Yaste; brother, Arnold “Bud” Breeden; sister, Diane L. McWilliams; sister-in-law, Carol Breeden; grandchildren, Kaylee Alejos, Brianna Hettinger, Troy, Megan, and Morgan Yaste.

According to Ron’s wishes, private services were held Saturday, August 7, 2021, at the O’Riley Funeral Home. Burial took place in Calvary Cemetery.
