Debra Ann Allard, 64 of Greenwood, passed away the morning of Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis surrounded by her loving family. Born in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan on November 13, 1952, Debbie was the daughter of the late Robert E. Woolsey, Sr. and Margaret M. (LaFord) Woolsey; her mother survives and resides in Greenwood. On August 14, 1970 she was united in marriage to her husband, Jeffery D. Allard, Sr.; he preceded her in death on November 13, 2000.
Debbie was the director of payroll and personnel at IUPUI for many years and was a faithful member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Indianapolis. She enjoyed playing euchre and was a proud member of the Wayne Newton Fan Club, serving as past president.
Along with her father, Robert and her husband, Jeffery, Debbie was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffery D. Allard, Jr. and her brother, Robert E. Woolsey, Jr.
Other survivors include her two daughters, Melissa M. Allard of Greenwood, and Jeanne M. (Earnie) Clark of Indianapolis; her sister, Dawn M. (Steven) Surber of Greenwood; her sister-in-law, Charity Woolsey of Indianapolis; two granddaughters, Phoebe and Daphne Clark; four special nieces, Kaleigh, Emma, Maddie, and Olivia Woolsey, along with many other beloved nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Debra Allard from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 22, 2017 in the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis. Morning prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the funeral home followed by 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Barnabas Catholic Church.
