Delores M. Miller

April 27, 1929 — January 6, 2020

Delores M. Miller, 90, of Indianapolis, passed away at Community South Hospital in Indianapolis surrounded by her family. Delores was born on April 27, 1929 in Indianapolis to the late Harold and Hazel (Davis) Skillman. On November 5, 1949 Delores was united in marriage to John A. Miller, Jr. in St. Roch Catholic Church; John preceded his wife in death on June 15, 2017.

Delores was a graduate of Southport High School, which led to her love of cardinals. Delores worked alongside her husband for many years at the Marion County Assessor’s Office. Above all, Delores was a devoted wife and mother throughout her life. Delores never met a stranger; her home was always open to everyone. A devout catholic, Delores was a longtime member of St. Roch Catholic Church. Being an avid Indianapolis sports fan, Delores loved to cheer on the Pacers and the Colts. She was known to enjoy a trip to the casino, playing bingo, and a good card game. Her witty, genuine spirit will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Along with her parents and husband, Delores is preceded in death by her siblings, Harold and Judith Ann Skillman; a son, Michael A. Miller; and a grandson, William Charles White III.

Survivors include her children, Anna (Ralph) Everroad, Judi (Gary) Delk, Mary (Stu) Moyer, Ruth (William) White, John (Cathy) Miller, daughter-in-law, Mynevia Miller; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and residents of Magnolia Springs Southpointe for their excellent care and friendship.
