Jeanette Sue Horton

October 6, 1951 — November 21, 2021

Jeanette Sue (Cunningham) Horton, 70, Greencastle, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away November 21, 2021. Jeanette was born October 6, 1951, in Indianapolis, to the late Melvin G. and Ellen Jane (Hatton) Cunningham.

She graduated from John Marshall High School and was employed at Dart Controls for many years. Jeanette enjoyed her retirement in Greencastle in the Indian Rock addition near Raccoon Lake, where she loved being in the quiet, country, peaceful setting. She loved social gatherings, pontoon rides on Raccoon Lake, family events, and keeping in touch with friends. Jeanette had a wonderful sense of humor and delighted in telling great jokes - some that were family friendly, and others that were a bit edgy to make others blush. The eternal optimist, Jeanette was a lovely lady who was strongly devoted to her family. She will be fondly remembered by her loved ones and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Horton; brothers, David G. and John M. Cunningham.

Survivors include her daughter, Debra K. Taylor; son, Douglas W. Money; grandchildren, Alexander Heymann, Madelynn Taylor, Desirae Money, and Jacob Money; special niece, Joanna (Rick) Cunningham Bear and their children, Johnna and R.J. Bear.

According to Jeanette’s wishes, private cremation rites will be held. A casual celebration of life for close family and friends will be held at her daughter’s house Friday evening, November 26, 2021, 7 to 11 p.m. Debra’s address is 1942 Penridge Ct., Greenwood. O’Riley Funeral Home is serving the family. Visit www.ORileyFuneralHome.com to share a favorite memory or to sign the online guest registry.
