Matthew “Matt” D. Sparks

65, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 6, 2023. Matt was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Don & Florence Sparks on January 4, 1958. He graduated from Thomas Carr Howe High School and went on to marry the love of his life, Bobbi (Conover) Sparks on August 21, 1976. They would have celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary this month. Matt was known for his knowledge and love of the Bible and enjoyed sharing this with others. Matt was a long-time member of the Five Points congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was the owner of Noble Silver Company and was still working in his business until his passing. Matt’s generosity was unmatched. He somehow always found a job for those who needed one, helped his grandchildren with their math homework and was very giving to those around him. He loved being out in nature and enjoyed hiking in the mountains. Matt was a natural “teacher” and was always willing to share his knowledge of just about anything and everything. Matt will be missed by all who knew him.

Matt is survived by his loving wife; Bobbi Sparks, children; Brandi (Jason) Dunn, Summer Sparks, Judith (Dan) Corner, Dallas (Ashley) Sparks and Savannah (Justin) Wood, grandchildren; Ellie, Vivia and Maverick Sparks, mother; Florence Sparks, brother; Steve Sparks and mother-in-law; Judith Conover.

Matt is preceded in death by his father; Don Sparks, father-in-law; Leroy Conover and sister-in-law; Rhonda Sparks.

A celebration of Matt’s life will take place at a later date.
