Oakleigh Rae Vaughn

Oakleigh Rae Vaughn gained her wings peacefully in her daddy’s arms January 13th, 2021 at 7:30pm. She was born January 8th, 2021 at 7:30pm to Katelyn & Robert Vaughn. During her very short five days on earth she touched so many lives and brought so many people together. She was quickly surrounded by love and support from not only her family, but the wonderful staff at St. Vincent Women’s Hospital/NICU. Although she was a total surprise, she was her mommy and daddy’s entire world within a matter of seconds. Although we never got to bring her home, we cherished every moment we got to spend with her. In our eyes, she was the exact definition of a miracle baby. God sent her to this earth, absolutely perfect and beautiful on the exterior and knew she was meant to change all of the lives she touched.

Our angel baby is preceded in death by her Great Grandfather Jerry Dean, and her Great Aunts Amy, Dana and Rhea Farmer.

She is survived by her parents Katelyn and Robert Vaughn. As well as grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and many more.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at the O’Riley Funeral Home, with visitation there from 12 Noon. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
