Rebecca E. Bellush

Rebecca E. Bellush, 83, of Indianapolis, IN passed away June 29, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born in Bedford, IN to the late Walter and Armilda (Mason) May. Rebecca graduated from Bedford High School in 1956 and completed her Nursing Degree at St. Vincent’s Nursing School in 1959. She married John Bellush on June 15, 1963, and he survives.

Rebecca was a registered nurse for over 30 years retiring in 1993. She spent her nursing career at Community East Hospital and Johnson County Memorial. Rebecca was a charter member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church. She was active in “The Red Hat Society” and enjoyed all their luncheons. Rebecca had a passion for Crossword Puzzles, and always enjoyed finishing them. She was an avid golfer, and enjoyed playing at their home in The Villages, Florida.

Rebecca is survived by her loving husband of 58 years John Bellush; daughters Beth Washel and Karen (Mike) Harmon; and grandchildren Kailey Washel, Emma Harmon, Elaina Harmon, and Andrew Harmon.

Visitation will be held Friday July 2nd from 12-1 PM at St. Barnabas Catholic Church 8300 Rahke Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46217 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 PM.
